About Me
Welcome to my portfolio.
My name is Madyson Hickman I'm a freshman at South Western High School. As I've grown up I've enjoyed challenging myself in school and outside of school. That is why I decided to take classes like IED in highschool. I think persevereing through problems makes it satisfying once you've completed them.
I love working with other people and sharing my ideas with them. I think working with others allows for people to grow in all skill areas. Playing sports has given me the ability to work well with others and has allowed me to build leadership skills.
In school I am involved in student council which has given me a voice in the school. I'm also involved in Mini-THON which has allowed me to give back which is very rewarding. I also played volleyball for the JV team this season and was able to help us achive a good season. I made the varsity softball team this season, which is one of my greatest achivements, but unfortunately I wasn't able to play due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Outside of school I am the captain of my travel softball team. Together we've had amazing seasons winning tournaments and building a family. I would do anything for my teammates and I'm so thankful I've gotten to lead them. I also play travel volleyball and love encouraging my teammates. Volleyball is a very difficult sport and you can't be too hard on yourself or you'll never recover, so I love having my teammates backs and picking them up whenever they're down.
